1. Rowhedge Medical Practice

The Rowhedge Medical Practice is the main surgery for the Rowhedge and University Medical Practice.

The surgery is staffed by doctors who work at both surgeries, and is staffed by a full team of receptionists, dispensers, nurses, health care assistant, secretary, and is managed by our Practice Manager and Business Manager.

The surgery is able to offer both book on the day appointments to see the doctor and some pre-bookable appointments as well.

Our receptionist like to ensure that the correct appointment is booked for each patient, so they may ask a few basic details to ensure you are booked with the most appropriate health care professional.

The Rowhedge Practice has a small dispensary which allows patients who live in Rowhedge and the surrounding villages to collect their medication directly from the surgery. There are rules which govern which patients we are allowed to dispense medication to. This is determined at national level and is decided according to whether you live within a designated rural area and live more than 1 miles as the crow flies form a pharmacy.

Patients are able to request their repeat prescriptions on-line through this website, but we ask that 48 hours notice is given before being able to collect your medicines.

We have 5 doctors who work at both sites, and patients are able to make appointments with any of the doctors as the practice does not run personal lists. See the staff list for details of the doctors.

Our Health Care Assistants offers a wide range of services, including phlebotomy (blood tests), new patient medicals, health checks and lifestyle clinics.
